The Mondelist ("we," "us," or "our") is a boutique travel advisory business operated by The Travelist, LLC, based in Los Angeles, CA. We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal information with care. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
By using our website or working with us as a client, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. What information we collect
We collect information you provide to us directly, including:
Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number
Travel preferences — seating preferences, dietary needs, and other trip-related preferences you share with us
Travel documents — passport details, known traveler numbers, and loyalty program information, provided for the purpose of booking travel on your behalf
Trip details — destinations, travel dates, group size, and budget information related to trips we are planning for you
Communications — messages and correspondence between you and us
We also collect standard website data automatically, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, through Squarespace's built-in analytics. This data is anonymized and used only to understand general website traffic.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to deliver our travel advisory services, including:
Planning and booking travel itineraries on your behalf
Communicating with you about your trips
Sharing necessary details with hotels, airlines, and other travel suppliers to complete your bookings
Sending you updates, documents, and itineraries related to your travel
We do not use your personal information for marketing purposes without your consent, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party for their own marketing use.
3. Who we share your information with
To plan and book your travel, we may share relevant information with:
Fora Travel — our host agency, through which all bookings are processed
Kit — our email marketing platform. If you subscribe to our email list, take the Travel Personality Quiz, or submit a contact form, your name and email address are shared with Kit to deliver email sequences and communications. Kit's privacy policy is available at kit.com.
Hotels, airlines, tour operators, and other travel suppliers — only the information necessary to complete your booking (e.g. your name, contact details, and passport information where required)
No one else — we do not sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties
4. How we store your information
Your information is stored securely in our business tools, which include Airtable (our client database) and associated planning software. We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access. We retain your information for as long as you are an active client and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return to plan future travel.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct any inaccurate information
Ask us to delete your information — we will honor this request unless we are required to retain certain records for legal or business purposes

Our website is built on Squarespace, which uses cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. These cookies do not contain personally identifying information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some website features may not function as intended if you do.

9. Shop orders
If you place an order through The Mondelist Shop, we collect your name, email address, and shipping address to process and fulfill your purchase. This information is shared with our third-party fulfillment partners solely for the purpose of producing and shipping your order. Our fulfillment partners are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose. We do not store payment information — all payment data is handled directly by Squarespace's secure checkout and payment processor.
10. Quiz and email marketing data
If you take the Travel Personality Quiz or subscribe to our email list, we collect your name, email address, and quiz results. This information is stored in Kit, our email marketing platform, and is used to send you travel personality results, planning guides, and related email content. Your quiz result is stored as a tag in Kit and is used to personalize the email sequence you receive. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing removes you from our email sequences but does not automatically delete your data from Kit — to request full deletion, contact us at legal@themondelist.com.
11. Tripbook purchases
If you purchase a Tripbook product, we collect your name and email address to process your order and deliver your download. This information is shared with Squarespace's payment processor to complete the transaction. We do not store payment information. Your email address may be used to deliver your download link and to follow up on any technical issues with your order. We do not use this information for marketing purposes without your consent.
12. Invited applications
If you apply for an Invited group experience, we collect your name, email address, city of residence, travel preferences, and responses to application questions. This information is used solely to review your application and communicate with you about your status. Application data is not shared with third parties except where necessary to facilitate the experience (such as accommodation and transfer providers for confirmed guests). Application responses from guests who are not accepted are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted.
